  • Also known as a “Sickle Probe,” this instrument is used to check for dental caries and the integrity of existing fillings. The sharp, thin tip allows the dentist to feel for enamel defects or soft spots that indicate decay. It is also used to remove small amounts of debris from around the teeth. Available in various tip curvatures to reach all tooth surfaces.
